18 June, 2016 a date to be added in the history of Indian Air Force. And the proud moment is getting first batch of women fighter pilots.
So, meet the first three women fighter pilots of India, in Indian Air Force ?
Mohana Singh, Bhawana Kanth and Avani Chaturvedi are the women who will officially join Indian Air Force and become pilots on 18th June 2016.
In October, 2015 Government of India decided to open a training program for women pilots for five years on the experimental basis. Since then these 3 women got selected for extreme training from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM everyday for almost a year.
Till today they were participating under stage II training at Kiran Intermediate Jet Trainers at Hakimpet Air Force station in Hyderabad. And today they will take part at Combined Graduation Parade Spring Term 2016 and then take advanced level of training for another 145 hours to finally fly supersonic jets.
P.S. Remember the name of these three women fighter pilots because from now onward this would be a part of every competitive examination, specially in the recruitment examinations of Indian Armed Forces.
