We all remember our teachers who inspired and educated us during our school and college days but we should also know about the teachers who changed the way students and their parents thought about education.
In past parents use to think that girl child should not be educated because there is no use of education for them and hence they never thought about sending the girl child to school or any other educational get-together.
But then people like Savitribai Phule came forward and started first women’s School in Bhide Wada in Pune in 1948 and she also became the first women teacher in India.
Savitribai Phule or Savitribai Jyotirao Phule, born in 03 January 1931 was a social reformer and poet.
